Long Beach

Gloomy weather report so we left earlier than planned to get into Orange Co. before rain. Didn't quite miss the rain but we were inside the Aquarium of the Pacific for most of it.

 

We then completed the drive into LA, returned the rental car, and had a quiet night at the boring hotel. The weather continued to be a concern, especially at 3am when the wind was howling and woke us up to find out about a long flight delay.

We made it to LAX easily, and then had a looooong wait, but the flight did finally go and we arrived back in RDU at 10:30pm on Christmas Eve. Just a six hour delay and we were so lucky to get out of LA as the storm continued and created major flooding problems on Christmas day.

 

So thankful for this trip with my adult daughters!
