Beach Day!!
Took about one hour, Victoria Station to Brighton. Quick walk down to the beach and the English Channel.
It was soooo peaceful here... if we didn't need a meal, I think we would have sat here for 10 hours.
While looking into this day trip, I noticed that this beach was described as "rocky." Nevertheless I wasn't expecting 100% rocks!
Every trip, there is a meal that we really remember and wish we could have again... and this trip it's our breakfast on the beach. I ordered "maple bacon pancakes" and it was about 18 pounds of meat on top of three little pancakes! Mei Mei had a chocolate pancake and while it might not be super pretty to look at it, was yummy.
From the pier, one direction is built up beachfront... reminded me of Coney Island. The pier was arcades and mini amusement park/roller coaster.
In other direction, we could just see the white cliffs... I believe this is called Seven Sisters area, after this is then Dover.
Walked the palace grounds
Then wandered "the lanes" which was shopping.. mainly jewelry and antiques but a few other stores that we found more interesting. Then we went back to beach... ice cream!
